“I love the eforever meetings. I know once a month, there are two hours guaranteed where I will not be in my own head. I’ll be talking to other business owners, getting some instruction and some insight and feedback on things. It has been really, really valuable.”

Grace that Becomes Effortless: A Reflection on 2020

On March 10, 2020, my peers and I started making plans to cancel events and think about what we would do if we had to close our businesses. It seemed so far-fetched but it was happening, and we were determined to keep one another encouraged and as successful as possible.

What Our Members Say

Nikki Manns, inventor of Nikki's Magic Wand
Pittsburgh, PA - Women Rock group

“There is such power in hearing people’s stories, not feeling alone, and sharing resources. Someone in my eforever group will say to me, Well, Nikki, I know you feel overwhelmed by this, but have you thought about hiring this person because she did work for me and she was really great. Or Have you thought about using this tool on your phone? And so, it’s kept me in the game because it would be very easy to just focus on one problem. But every month I remember, ‘No, you got to keep pushing, you got to keep going.’ So, it’s powerful for me.”

Katie Heldstab, co-owner of Leona's
Pittsburgh, PA - Wilk 2 group

“I don’t have a lot of time to actually work on my business, so I use that time. If no one else is saying anything, I’ll raise my hand and talk about my issue. But I’ve found that no matter what it is – cash flow, hiring, staff – it still helps other people and might even be a relevant issue for them as well.”

Gabrielle Haywood, owner of Virginia Dere, LLC
Pittsburgh, PA - Impatient Entrepreneurs group

“You’re vested in these other businesses. You want them to make it because you know it’s hard. You can see answers to their problems. And you get answers to your own problems when you help somebody else with theirs.”

Gerrod Winston, owner of Winston Design + Development
Pittsburgh, PA - Impatient Entrepreneurs group

I’m able to hear about my peers’ experiences and share practical business information, like how someone does their bookkeeping and marketing. It’s good to get entrepreneurs with similar challenges and successes sharing that information, and it forces me to pay attention to my business. I could work every day and not necessarily have any business efficiency, but the meetings make me consider how healthy my business is or if I’m doing something effectively. It forces me to look at things that I might not focus if I didn’t have a peer group.

Shannon Gregg, owner of Cloud Adoption Solutions
Marketing Director
Pittsburgh, PA - Wilk 2 group

The ability to come once a month and have to show Barb my P&L statements and talk to her about the decisions I was making for my business is super appealing because I’m not yet at the stage where I need a board. Frankly, I think a board would be distracting to me right now. So, Barb and the people in my eforever group, are like my board of directors. So, I love it for that.
